Big battles-small battles

I guess appetite for war is something so connected with human society that is not quite possible to root it out. This painting is playing with contrast between real destruction and threat and childs game when everything is just fun and everyone is going to be alive and well at the end of the day. It is showing this contrast in the kinda retrofuturistic nostalgic setting.
